Synopsis

The series is centered around the journey of 12-year-old Aang, the current Avatar and the last survivor of his people, the Air Nomads, along with his friends Sokka, Katara, and later Toph, as they strive to end the Fire Nation's war against the other nations of the world. The story also follows the story of Zuko - the exiled prince of the Fire Nation, seeking to restore his lost honour by capturing Aang for his father, Fire Lord Ozai.

Aang is the main character of the series. Born into the Air Nomads in 12 BG, Aang was raised by the monks of the Southern Air Temple until he was told of his destiny as the next Avatar when he was just 12 years old.
