Description of Beatrice Baudelaire II:
Somehow, in another attempt to contact her uncle, Beatrice embarrasses Snicket in front of his friends. She finds him at a restaurant and asks a waiter to bring an apology card with his drink, telling him to rip the card in half when he was done with his root beer float if he did not want to talk to her, and she would leave him alone, but if he wanted to meet her, she was the ten-year-old at the corner table. Considering the note is still in one piece in the file, it is presumable that Snicket finally met with his niece. - SnicketWiki
