Synopsis

Against the backdrop of Ancient Greece, four lovers find themselves caught up in an incredible series of fluctuating attractions and disastrous misunderstandings as the fairy King Oberon wages war on his independent wife Titania. Meanwhile, six simple-minded workingmen set their hearts on performing a devastating tragedy for the Duke and Duchess' wedding; however, it is not long before they, too, become pawns in the hilarious antics of the fairies.

Description of Hermia:

Poor Hermia has fallen deeply in love with Lysander, but "the course of true love never did run smooth," and Demetrius, supported by her angry father, has relentlessly set out to win her heart. If she refuses to abide by her father's wishes, she faces either public execution or life in a convent; that is, until Lysander creates a third option. The happy couple elopes into the woods, trusting no one with their secret but Helena, Hermia's best friend. Everything is going great until Hermia wakes up alone in the dark and discovers that Lysander and Demetrius have completely abandoned her and are now fighting over Helena!
