Description of Hugh Monaghan:
A zany and sociable but emotionally reticent children's book author. Unbeknownst to the whole group, Hugh has fought a battle against depression his whole life and they've acted as his emotional crux but he's been in a mental spiral since turning fifty. This trip happened at just the right time and now they only have till the end of it to help him through his demons.
