Synopsis

A group of misguided animal rights activists free a caged chimp infected with the "Rage" virus from a medical research lab. When Stilport bike courier Jared (Kerr Smith) wakes up from a coma a month after, he finds his city all but deserted. On the run from the zombie-like victims of the Rage, Jared stumbles upon a group of survivors, including Sawyer (Anika Noni Rose) and cab driver Finn (Mark Hamill), and joins them on a perilous journey to what he hopes will be safety.

Description of Mr. Brooks' Daughter:

This girl was the daughter of Mr. Brooks, and was neighbours with Jared's parents and lived four houses down the street from them. During the Original Outbreak of the Rage Virus, Brooks and his daughter were both infected. Twenty-nine days into the outbreak, the infected Brooks and his infected daughter were drawn to Jared's house by the light of a candle. Brooks and his daughter broke into the house through the skylight and patio doors and attacked Jared. However, Milo and Sawyer came to Jared's aid. Milo stabbed Brooks' daughter to death with a knife, but not before she apparently wounded and infected him.
