Synopsis

A group of misguided animal rights activists free a caged chimp infected with the "Rage" virus from a medical research lab. When Stilport bike courier Jared (Kerr Smith) wakes up from a coma a month after, he finds his city all but deserted. On the run from the zombie-like victims of the Rage, Jared stumbles upon a group of survivors, including Sawyer (Anika Noni Rose) and cab driver Finn (Mark Hamill), and joins them on a perilous journey to what he hopes will be safety.

Description of Activist #1:

This animal rights activist was one of the members of the Animal Freedom Front that were sent to the Cambridge Primate Research Centre to free the captive chimpanzees. He appeared to be the leader of the group. It is unknown whether or not he was infected, killed or escaped when he and his fellow activists freed a chimp infected with the Rage Virus.
