Can someone tell me anything about these two girls? Basically they appear in like 95% of 89s-shifted teen-oriented fan casts on this site. Who are they? Why are they so popular? What are they up to now?

The two are actors from the 1986 film Flying (which despite my age, I hadn't even heard of until this website.), and as far as I know I haven't heard anything about what they are doing these days.
