They didn't pick Dash because Violet is more mature and serious, and was chosen to be the leader among the young Supers.
Violet gets a new suit, and meets new friends with new powers. But at the time, she's struggling to keep her identity a secret from Tony since he's asking why Violet's sometimes late to their dates, and why her family acts weird when danger happens
But meanwhile, Bob & Helen realize that without Violet, their success in crime-fighting lowered. Before she joined the program, they were the top Supers since the Glory Days. But without the full team, there was a difficulty in teamwork and keeping everyone safe. Dash even got hurt.

Xerek was known and feared by superheroes and villains alike. He plans to attack the young Supers, and capture Violet so he can bait Helen into becoming HIS wife! (Obviously, Helen refuses).
