The Gentlemen Trailer Is Guy Ritchie At His Guy Ritchiest

Lock, stock and two smoking McConaugheys

Guy Ritchie has been making some big movies like Aladdin, King Arthur and 2 Sherlock Holmes so it may surprise people to know that we haven't had a real Guy Ritchie film since 2008's RocknRolla. Now all of his movies are Guy Ritchie movies, don't get me wrong. King Arthur was different enough that you knew he was the director, but I mean a weird Guy Ritchie movie. The Gentlemen looks to be just that and with a cast that would rival any of the big budget studio films he does.

Drugs, guns, dry British humor, Colin Farrell. It all feels right.

The studio synopsis gives it a better description than me just going "yay it looks like he is back doing what he does best".

The Gentlemen follows American expat Mickey Pearson (Matthew McConaughey) who built a highly profitable marijuana empire in London. When word gets out that he’s looking to cash out of the business forever it triggers plots, schemes, bribery and blackmail in an attempt to steal his domain out from under him.

The Gentlemen releases January 24, 2020 ans stars Matthew McConaughey, Charlie Hunnam, Hugh Grant and Colin Farrell
