Fan Casting Krishna

Role added by castingsinmyblood on May 7, 2021

Description of Krishna:

If you want anything in the outer or inner city, "Krish" is the guy to get it for you. Purveyor of entertainment both extralegal and exciting, Krishna is often the bridge between the above and below, catering both to the unwashed mass's want for material possessions and the upper crust's desire for cheap thrills. It comes as no shock then, that Nura wins his loyalty through the promise to help legalize his enterprises of flesh, his most lucrative but undervalued business. Unfortunately, Krishna has never met a woman (or person) like Nura. After all, Tabaqui has to meet Shere Khan sooner rather than later.

  • castingsinmyblood Krishna represents the "evil" of the outer city; whereas we know the evil of the inner city (elitist and regressive) the outer city is haunted by desperate darwinism
  • castingsinmyblood He also likes the works of Kipling the way the other characters like music. In fact his final words before his death are from Kipling's "How Fear Came": "Do not forget me! Let my children (meaning the outer city) remember that I was once without shame, or fear!" to which Tha (Nura) says "no". A lot of his story has parallels to the works of Kipling (the Jungle Book, Kim, Rikki-Tikki-Tavi, The Man who Would be King. etc.)
