Synopsis

An updated remake of Akira Kurosawa's 1963 crime thriller. An executive of a shoe company becomes the victim of an extortion attempt when his employee's son is abducted by mistake instead of his own. The drama includes the ransom and the subsequent manhunt for the kidnappers. It will be slightly altered to allow a greater balance of male and female characters, and I envision it would be set in America. But

The kidnapping Mastermind. Is apprehended after being tricked into believing the accomplices he killed were still alive in blackmailing him. He live at the bottom of the hill where the the Gondo's house rested atop. He was driven mad by jealousy, resulting in the kidnapping plan.
